Light Blue Optics (LBO) is a dynamic, privately-owned company developing miniature projection systems.

Founded in 2004, LBO is funded by a group of investors including Earlybird Venture Capital, Capital-E and the FTSE 100 listed global venture capital firm, 3i plc. In October 2007, the Company closed a Series ‘A’ funding round of US$26 million – the largest Series ‘A’ funding round in the European electronics sector since 2000.

LBO is headquartered in Cambridge, UK with a Development Facility in Colorado Springs, USA.
